Youth and Family Ministry

From our  Youth and Family Ministry Director
Jenn Hart

Welcome to Youth and Family Ministry at Unity of Stuart

We’re really glad you’re here.

At Unity of Stuart, Youth and Family Ministry is about creating a place where kids and families feel safe, seen, and supported; no pressure to believe a certain way; no expectation to have it all figured out. Just space to grow.

Our approach is grounded in Unity teachings. We focus on spiritual principles that help children and teens understand who they are, how they belong, and how to navigate life with kindness, courage, and curiosity. We teach that each person has an inner light; that their thoughts matter; and that love is a practice, not a rulebook.

For kids, that looks like age-appropriate lessons, stories, creativity, movement, and conversation. For teens, it means honest dialogue, real questions, and room to explore what spirituality means in everyday life. For families, it means partnership. We know you are your child’s first and most important teacher; we’re here to walk alongside you.

You don’t have to be new to Unity; you don’t have to know the language; and you definitely don’t have to be perfect. Bring your whole family as you are. Questions are welcome. Doubt is allowed. Laughter happens often.

Our hope is simple. We want young people to leave here knowing they are loved, capable, and connected; to themselves, to others, and to Spirit.

We’re glad you found us.
Welcome to the journey.

In loving service,
Jenn

At our 10:30 Service, we provide the following:

  • Nursery (Infant - 2 yrs)  A nurturing and loving environment for infants in which the first Unity principle they learn is that they are loved unconditionally.
  • Toddlers (2 - 3 yrs)  A fun environment for toddles in which they can begin to explore Unity principles through play and creativity.
  • Preschool (4 - 5 yrs)  Curricula designed to help young children begin to explore their spirituality.
  • Lower and Upper Elementary (1st - 5th grades)  Rotating curricula designed to teach Unity principles and provide opportunities to discuss and learn how these principles are active in their everyday lives and throughout the world.
  • Uniteens (6th - 8th grades)  Rotating curricula designed to tie in concepts such as self-image and peer pressure with Unity principles.
  • Youth of Unity (Y.O.U) (9th - 12th grades)   A unique curriculum in which each student gets the opportunity to lead lessons throughout the year.  They also attend rallies and other events throughout the year.

Our co-founder Myrtle Fillmore heard Spirit asking this question, "Who will take care of the children?"  Of course, her answer was "I will!"

Volunteer in our Youth and Family Ministry!

If you love kids, are excellent with them and would like to experience what it's like to have your heart opened by their wisdom.
