Our September series is a four-week exploration of what sustains lasting joy. We’re using The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing Word, based on a week-long conversation between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu – both Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.
From the back of the book: "[both] have survived more than fifty years of exile and the soul-crushing violence of oppression. Despite their hardships – or, as some would say, because of them - they are two of the most joyful people on the planet.”
We’ll look at their Eight Pillars of Joy in these four weeks: Perspective, Humility, Humor, Acceptance, Forgiveness, Gratitude, Compassion, and Generosity.
